How we make money
The short version: some links are affiliate links, none of them change our verdicts, and our data literally can't be sorted by who pays us.
SupportVerdict is free to use and free of display ads. We keep it running through affiliate links: when you sign up for some of the vendors we cover through a link on our site, we may earn a referral fee at no extra cost to you. That's it — no paywalls, no sponsored rankings, no pay-to-play placement.
The rule that protects you
Our editorial independence isn't a promise — it's built into the code. The dataset that powers every ranking, shortlist and verdict has no commission or payout field. There is nothing to sort by, so it is structurally impossible for us to order vendors by what they pay us. Picks are ordered by fit and by how well we've verified the pricing, then alphabetically. A vendor that pays us nothing routinely ranks above one that does.
How affiliate links are labeled
- Every paid link carries a clear advertising disclosure right next to it (FTC 16 CFR Part 255).
- Paid outbound links use
rel="sponsored nofollow"and open the vendor's own site in a new tab. - If a vendor has no affiliate program, we still cover it fully and link to it with a plain, unpaid link — coverage never depends on whether a vendor pays us.
- We host no quote forms and collect no personal information to sell. The only thing we collect is an optional newsletter email.
